Student Session: Finding Your Civic Voice in a Loud Media World

Bring your students to Penn State’s College of Communications to engage in rich discussion and tour the Media Center! Students will learn tools and techniques to thrive in a highly mediated, digital, and saturated world—especially as a presidential election season nears. We’ll discuss how political messaging works to impact us for better or worse, how journalism and other forms of media shape our understanding of elections and important civic issues, and how we can equip ourselves to better protect and engage in democracy.
