Yasemin Beykont is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State. Her research applies critical approaches to studying internet memes, advertising, and promotional culture. She assists in the digital media content development and distribution of the News Literacy Initiative.
