Introducing "The Basics"
This month, we are pleased to introduce The Basics, a new section of the News Literacy Initiative website, carefully crafted to explore foundational topics in News Literacy. As you learn how news and journalism affect our world, how to navigate the news, and your own impact on society, watch short videos of Penn State professors in the Bellisario College of Communications Department of Journalism respond to deceptively simple questions like, "What is news?" and "Why is journalism important?"
